Nicoleta Surilă is a Moldovan fashion designer, particularly known for her luxury footwear designs, created in partnership with her sister, Janeta Surilă, under the brand "JANIKO". From the very beginning, Nicoleta showed a preference for shoe design, interrupting her studies at the Technical University of Chișinău to focus on her passion for footwear. Together, the two sisters founded "JANIKO" in Germany, a brand that quickly established itself on the global market with innovative creations, including the famous "bijoux à talons," with zippers on the sole or inlaid stones, appreciated by international celebrities. The JANIKO brand gained visibility through participation in fashion events such as Berlin Fashion Week and collaborations with specialized press in the United States and Germany. Since its early years of activity, JANIKO footwear has been worn by personalities such as Kate Hudson, Carmen Electra, Nicole Scherzinger, and Paris Hilton, and some of its models have been promoted in top shows and events in Europe and the USA. Nicoleta is the one who creates the visual concepts and designs, while Janeta handles marketing, promotion, and distribution. This work structure allows for the rapid expansion of JANIKO's presence in the USA, entry into numerous luxury stores, and collaborations with international distribution agencies. In parallel with her success in high fashion, Nicoleta has diversified her activities in the wellness sector, co-founding NOOZ, a brand of functional mints that combine well-being with modern design. Through NOOZ, she promotes a vision of "effortless" wellness, offering products such as mints for smooth skin, metabolism, concentration, and digestive health, while also emphasizing the role of functional modes in contemporary lifestyle. Although she built her main career outside the Republic of Moldova, Nicoleta Surilă remains an example of professional empowerment for Moldovan women who manage to transform their passions into global projects.
