Silvia Goncear, born on November 15, 1963, in the village of Tabăra, Orhei district, is a renowned performer of romances, waltzes, and tangos from the Republic of Moldova, declared People's Artist. She graduated from the Pedagogical School in Călăraşi, Music Department, following in the footsteps of her older sister, Raisa Bârnaz, and then from the State Conservatory in Chişinău, Musical Comedy Actor Department, under Professor Sandri Ion Şcurea. Her artistic career began as a music teacher in Teleneşti, then as an actress at the "Ginta Latină" Musical Theatre for Children and Youth, where she performed memorable roles such as Chiriţa in the play "Chiriţa în provincie" by Vasile Alecsandri and Nimfa in "Liola" by Luigi Pirandello. After a 16-year break dedicated to her family, she made a triumphant return in 2007, winning the Grand Prize at the "Crizantema de Argint" Festival and other awards, including at "Crizantema de Aur" in Târgovişte, recording CDs such as "Romanţe-crizanteme" and "Romanţa dragostei" alongside the "Folclor" Folk Music Orchestra of the "Serghei Lunchevici" National Philharmonic, conducted by Maestro Petre Neamţu. He has collaborated with prestigious cultural institutions in the Republic of Moldova, such as the "Serghei Lunchevici" National Philharmonic, where he leads the "Folclor" Orchestra and organizes festivals like "Prezintă Orchestra Folclor" for the promotion of young talents, the "Ginta Latină" Theatre, and the choir of the "Sfânta Vineri" Church. International participations include tours in Italy, in Varese, where he held concerts applauded by the local audience within initiatives to promote Moldovan art, such as the "Casa Mare" exhibition hall, and the "Hariclea Darclee" International Classical Music Festival in Brăila. He has recorded approximately 100 pieces in the archives of the National Audiovisual Company, launched anniversary concerts such as "Romanța inimii mele" (The Romance of My Heart), and is preparing new albums with contemporary creations, including duets with his sister Raisa Bârnaz and craft exhibitions by his sister Nina Dracinschi. In her personal life, Silvia Goncear comes from a talented family in the village of Tabăra, where the musical tradition is alive – her mother, at 85 years old, still sings at celebrations, and her sisters are recognized artists. Married to Constantin, she has two children – son Silviu and daughter Constanța – who inspired her return to the stage, with her husband being an essential supporter of her musical career. Besides art, she managed a beauty salon, a business initiated by her husband to occupy her during her artistic break, but her passion for the stage prevailed, turning her life into a story marked by perseverance and love for romance.
