Paulina Țurcanu, born on August 11, 2002, in the Republic of Moldova, is a remarkable judoka who quickly made a name for herself on the international stage in the under 40 kg weight category. Among her notable achievements are the gold medal won at the European Cadet Cup in Fuengirola in 2019, bronze at the same competition in Teplice and Berlin in 2019 and 2018 respectively, as well as bronze at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Baku in 2019. She also competed at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in 2018, finishing 13th individually and 5th in the mixed team event, demonstrating exceptional sporting potential from a young age.
