Adriana Ochișanu, born on March 18, 1978, in the city of Căușeni, Republic of Moldova, is a renowned performer in the field of folk and light music. She graduated in 1997 from the Republican College of Music "Ștefan Neaga" in Chișinău, and from that year, she began her career with the Folk Music Orchestra "Lăutarii," where she debuted as a soloist in 1999. Her talent was discovered by her father in childhood, and her repertoire quickly expanded, including songs from various folk regions, duets with composer Alexandru Vdovicenco, and an album of light music. Among her notable achievements are the title of Merited Artist awarded in 2009, as well as memorable concerts, such as the anniversary show "My Life... Is a Song!" in 2022 at the "Nicolae Sulac" National Palace. Her collaborations have profoundly marked the Moldovan music scene, working closely with the "Lăutarii" Orchestra led by Nicolae Botgros, as well as with ensembles such as the Moldovlaska Orchestra, founded in 2017 by Veaceslav Stefanet and Dorin Buldumea, or Ethno Republic in recent shows, including the one in December 2024 with Marcel Ștefaneț. Adriana participated in festivals like "Mărțișor" and radio shows, promoting a personalized style, defined by original melodic lines and authentic interpretation. Popular in both the Republic of Moldova and Romania, she continues to support large-scale projects, such as concerts in Chisinau and Bucharest, attracting thousands of spectators through her energy and dedication. Adriana Ochișanu's personal life reflects the balance between the stage and family. She was married for 17 years to Corneliu Botgros, son of conductor Nicolae Botgros, with whom she has a son, Cristian. Later, in 2016, she remarried lawyer Sergiu Zmeu, with whom she has a daughter, Mihaela, who appeared on stage with her mother at concerts and participates in extracurricular activities such as painting and zumba. Although she has gone through recent divorces, the artist has temporarily moved to Bucharest for professional projects, adapting her family to the new environment, but remaining anchored in Moldovan values through music and traditions.
