Luminița Guțanu Stoian is a university lecturer doctor in music, recognized for her remarkable contributions in the field of choral conducting and music education. Hailing from Bessarabia, she established herself in Romania as the principal conductor of the Children and Youth Choir "Symbol-Jean Lupu" of the Romanian Patriarchate, taking over artistic leadership in 2015 and directorship in recent years, after the founder Jean Lupu. Under her baton, the choir has performed thousands of national and international concerts, including tours in Europe, winning the Grand Prix and Trophy at competitions such as Eurovision Choir 2018, and participating in major events like concerts at the Romanian Athenaeum or festivals dedicated to the Centenary of the Great Union. Her teaching and scientific activity is linked to prestigious institutions such as the National University of Music in Bucharest, where she teaches disciplines such as Choral Conducting, Choral Ensemble, and Artistic Practice, the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia, where she taught religious music, folklore, and vocal techniques, as well as the National Center of Art "Tinerimea Română". She has published reference volumes, including "Bases of Conducting Technique" and "Collection of Choirs," and articles in journals such as AMTAP Revista, addressing innovative perspectives in conductor training and folkloric influences in musical works. Initiator of the unique project "Music for Children in Romanian Films," she has collaborated with philharmonic orchestras in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, organizing vocal-symphonic concerts in cities such as Chisinau, Bucharest, Sibiu, or Brasov. With an impressive record of distinctions, including the Honorary Title Contemporary Treasure and Ambassador of Excellence in Civic Virtue, Luminița Guțanu Stoian represents a symbol of performance in music education, a delicate mentor for over 80 young artists.
