Viorica Pintilie is a jazz singer known on the Romanian music scene, with a career spanning over 25 years in the field of music. She graduated from the Music School in Chisinau and obtained a master's degree in jazz music from the National University of Music in Bucharest. From the age of 15, she took to the stage, initially exploring various musical genres before fully dedicating herself to jazz, the style in which she best finds herself and in which she discovered her distinctive artistic voice. Viorica is characterized by her delicate and expressive voice, with deep and velvety tones, which gives her a magnetic stage presence. Viorica Pintilie's concert activity is intense and diverse, including participation in important festivals such as the Târgu Mureș Jazz Festival, Sibiu Jazz Fest, and The Gardener Jazz Festival in Iași. In February 2017, she released her debut album "Stories of a Heart," a compilation of jazz standards that gathers the stories of her favorite songs. Subsequently, in December 2017, she released the album "Christmas time is here," dedicated to classic American Christmas songs. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with remarkable musicians such as Adrian Flautistu, Alexandru Olteanu, Dan Nicolau, Ciprian Pop, and many others, performing concerts in Bucharest, Cluj, Sibiu, Târgu Mureș, Chisinau, as well as in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and Portugal. The atmosphere created by Viorica at her concerts is intimate and warm, leaving the audience with the feeling that she knows their stories and sings them dedicatedly. Her musical influences include great names in the jazz genre such as Dinah Washington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Erykah Badu. Viorica considers jazz the only musical style that allows her true improvisation and artistic freedom, offering her the possibility to interpret each piece in new ways, depending on her mood and interaction with other musicians. Her stage presence is marked by an authentic and dedicated attitude, transforming each appearance into a memorable experience for the audience.
