About
Mariana Beleaeva was born on December 28, 1983, in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, into a family of musicians, her father, Vladimir Beleaev, being a renowned composer and musicologist. From the age of four, she began studying violin at the "S. Rachmaninoff" Music Gymnasium in Chișinău, under the guidance of teacher Lidya Dolinski, making her concert debut at age seven. Inspired by her father, she composed her first works from the age of eight, winning national and international awards between the ages of 10 and 16, including performances at festivals such as "Donne in Musica" in Italy. After completing her baccalaureate in Chișinău and a period as a violist in the city's Radio Orchestra, she moved to Munich in 2002, where she studied at the Richard-Strauss Conservatory with professors Boris Dubossarsky and Jacob Gilman, graduating with maximum marks in 2007 and continuing her higher education. She participated in masterclasses with Zakhar Bron and became the concertmaster of the Kammerphilharmonie DaCapo München in 2005, collaborating with orchestras such as the Jakobsplatz Orchester, Münchner Philharmoniker, and various chamber ensembles. As a scholarship holder of the Michael Röwer Foundation and the "Live Music Now" organization founded by Yehudi Menuhin, she performed in musicals such as "Robin Hood" and "Beauty and the Beast" at theatres in Munich and Bremen. Mariana Beleaeva excels in crossover, collaborating with international artists such as Montserrat Caballé, Helene Fischer, Udo Jürgens, David Garrett, KYGO, Sportfreunde Stiller (including at MTV Unplugged), and many others, often using an LED electric violin at events. Based in Germany with her musical family, she is active in projects such as ALEA Eventband and Zeitgenossen.art, promoting contemporary Moldovan music and participating in world tours, combining classical music with pop and rock.
