About

Ana Timofei was born on October 5, 1993, in the village of Parcani, Transnistria region, Republic of Moldova, into an intellectual family, her mother being the director of a music school. From a young age, she showed a passion for music, receiving her first piano lessons from her mother and organizing home recitals from the age of six. She graduated from the Transnistrian State Institute of Arts, specializing in music theory, where she studied under Professor Z. Timoni. She performed with the Transnistrian State Symphony Orchestra, in musicals and children's shows, and as a composer, she created "Bulgarian Rhapsody" for piano, choral arrangements of Bulgarian folk songs, as well as her own songs and romances. Her unique style blends operatic and folk vocals with modern electronic elements, in genres such as melodic techno and EDM. In 2013, at the age of 20, Ana emigrated to Israel with her husband, Dmitri, a clarinetist musician she met at the institute, following a romantic story that led to their marriage. She initially settled in Ashkelon, then in Almagor, continuing her musical career. Her major international debut came in 2015 when she participated in the show "X Factor Israel" (season 2), placing 3rd and impressing the jury with her angelic voice. In 2018, she represented Moldova at the national selection for Eurovision, and in 2024, she collaborated with renowned artists such as Armin van Buuren and Vini Vici on the single "Sarabande." She also participated in "Slavianski Bazaar," works as a vocal coach, producer, and DJ, offering services on platforms like SoundBetter and collaborating with agencies like Pedi Group. Ana's personal life is marked by family harmony and creativity: she is married to Dmitri, with whom she forms an artistic duo, and they have a daughter. Although settled in Israel, she maintains ties with her Moldovan roots, promoting traditional Balkan and Eastern European music in her global productions. Her career demonstrates the resilience of an artist from Moldova who has conquered international stages, becoming an example for young talents in the region.
