About
Alisa Glinka, born on October 10, 1987, in Chisinau, is a remarkable dressage rider who began her equestrian journey at the age of five under the guidance of Natalia Ziulcovscaia. Until 2018, she represented the Russian Federation in international competitions, achieving numerous participations, including at the World Cup. Subsequently, she switched to representing the Republic of Moldova, making history in Moldovan sports with her presence at the FEI World Equestrian Games in Leipzig in 2022, a first for her country, and at the European Championships in Hagen in 2021. Her career includes 187 dressage starts, with 37 victories, and participations in FEI World Cup finals, culminating in her Olympic debut at Paris 2024, where she placed 53rd in the individual Grand Prix, becoming the first Moldovan in an equestrian event. She collaborated with the Russian club KSK Novy Vek in the initial period of her career and competed with elite horses such as Aachen, Abercrombie, Hummer, and Jewel Star, achieving notable placings in circuits like the FEI World Cup and the Olympic Games. Although she faced challenges, such as a temporary suspension in May 2024 for a positive doping test at the World Cup final in Riyadh – later lifted in June after she was proven innocent – Glinka demonstrated resilience, qualifying for the Paris Olympics and representing Moldova for the very first time in equestrianism. Having lived in France for five years, near Nice, she continues to perform at a high level, with impressive statistics in the FEI rankings, including top 20 positions in the World Cup Standings. Besides sports, Alisa Glinka had a phase in her artistic career, performing for two years as an actress at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and starring in the Russian film "Nearest and Dearest" (2017) in the role of Efim's girlfriend. A mother of five children, she successfully combines family life with competitive demands, holding dual Moldovan and Russian citizenship. This versatility, from acting to world-class equestrian performances, makes her a role model for women in the Republic of Moldova, inspiring through determination and adaptability in diverse fields.
