Ghiulnara Răileanu is a Moldovan soprano born on November 11, 1984, in Chișinău. She graduated from the "Sfântul Neaga" College of Music in 2004 and continued her studies at the Academy of Music, Theatre, and Fine Arts in Chișinău, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Tatiana Busuioc, Master of Arts, graduating in 2008. From 2010 to 2019, she worked as a soloist at the "Maria Bieșu" National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Chișinău, where she made her professional debut in the role of Countess Almaviva in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera "Le nozze di Figaro." Ghiulnara Răileanu's international career has developed significantly in recent times, with notable appearances at prestigious institutions in Europe. In 2022, she debuted with Bath Opera in the title role of Giacomo Puccini's "Tosca," performed in English. The same year also marked her debut at the Prague State Opera, where she returned in leading roles in productions of Puccini's opera. In March 2025, she performed "Manon Lescaut" for the first time at the Prague State Opera, and in September 2025, she made her debut at Oper Frankfurt in the same role. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with renowned directors and conductors including Andriy Yurkevych, Nicolae Dohotaru, Alexander Samoila, Manuel Busto, Cristian Florea, and Akiro Mori, as well as other internationally acclaimed musicians. The opera repertoire includes important roles from classical operas, among them Floria Tosca in "Tosca", Countess Almaviva in "Le nozze di Figaro", Desdemona in Verdi's "Otello", Mimì in "La Bohème", Liu in "Turandot", Leonora in "Il Trovatore", and Amelia in "Un ballo in maschera". For her interpretation of the role of Amelia, she received a Special Mention for Best Female Debut at the Romanian National Opera Gala in Iași, Romania. Her performances on stages in the United Kingdom and Europe highlight a stable artistic presence in the international classical opera circuit, consolidating her position as one of the important opera soloists from her region of origin.
