About

Luda Kroitor was born in the city of Soroca in the Republic of Moldova and emigrated to Australia at the age of ten, where she began her career in salsa dancing. She found her ideal partner in Chilean dancer Oliver Pineda, with whom she formed a successful duo that made history in 2001, becoming the first Australian representatives to win the World Salsa Championship. Throughout their career, the Kroitor-Pineda pair managed to win the title of world salsa champions five times and proudly represented Australia in numerous international Latin dance competitions. On the Australian scene, Luda Kroitor gained national recognition through her participation as a dance instructor on the television show "Dancing with the Stars," which she won twice: once alongside actor Luke Jacobz and again with singer Johnny Ruffo. In addition to these prestigious victories, she also worked with other well-known contestants, solidifying her reputation as an exceptional dancer and mentor. Her career also extended to choreography, creating works for the show "So You Think You Can Dance Australia" and participating in international tours of the production "Burn the Floor." Known for her technical precision, passion, and vibrant personality, Luda Kroitor has become a prominent figure in the Australian dance world, teaching and performing internationally. She has managed to balance an impressive international career with a fulfilling personal life, getting married and becoming a mother, and through all these responsibilities, she continues to inspire dancers and explore new opportunities in the field of dance art.
