Antonina Leftii, born on May 30, 1945, in the village of Severinovca, Camenca district, Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, is a remarkable actress from Moldova, recognized as an Honored Artist of Ukraine. She debuted in cinema in 1965 with the short film "Entering the Sea," directed by her husband, Leonid Osyka, and in 1967, she graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow. Her career primarily unfolded at the Dovzhenko Film Studio in Kyiv, where she played memorable roles in films such as "Stone Cross," "Zakhar Berkut," and "To Love...", the latter highlighting her lyricism in portraying a young Moldavian woman. Her artistic achievements marked Soviet cinema, with acclaimed performances in productions like "Did Livogo Kraynogo" (1973) and "Zozulya s diplomom" (1972), her last film being "Your Name" (1989). Close collaborations with her director husband, Leonid Osyka, defined a significant part of her work, contributing to the promotion of historical and human themes from the Eastern European space.
