Hero of Socialist Labor Decree date: 07.03.1960 Medal no.: 8389, Order of Lenin no.: 331291 Ana Parfionovna Cebotari was the head of a work team (zveno) at the "Kotovski" collective farm in the Lipcani district, Moldavian SSR. She was born on February 19, 1931, in the village of Criva, Briceni district. Ana Cebotari began her professional career in 1949 at the "Kotovski" collective farm in the village of Horodiștea (Верхние Холохоры), Lipcani district, Moldavian SSR. Initially, she worked in a field brigade, later becoming the head of a Komsomol youth team specializing in corn cultivation. By applying advanced work methods and making full use of agricultural machinery, the team led by her began to achieve rich harvests. By the end of the 1950s, Ana Cebotari's team was obtaining the highest corn yields in the republic. In 1959, she joined the CPSU (Communist Party of the Soviet Union), actively participating in the social life of the collective farm. By Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 7, 1960, in honor of the 50th anniversary of International Women's Day, for outstanding labor achievements and particularly fruitful social activity, Ana Parfionovna Cebotari was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor, along with the Order of Lenin and the gold medal "Hammer and Sickle." In 1964, being among the first women in the republic, she led a complex mechanization team for the cultivation of row crops without the use of manual labor. For several years, she worked as a deputy team leader in the complex team of the "1 May" kolkhoz in her native village, Criva. For achieving high sugar beet yields in 1965 and based on the results of her work in the 8th Five-Year Plan (1966–1970), she was awarded two more Orders of the USSR. She was a frequent participant in the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNKh) of the USSR, receiving medals from the Main Exhibition Committee. From 1973, she worked as the chairperson of the executive committee of the Criva village council in Briceni district, later holding positions in other Soviet bodies of the Moldavian SSR. She was a deputy in the Supreme Soviet of the Moldavian SSR in the 5th–7th legislatures (1959–1971), a delegate to the 22nd Congress of the CPSU (1961), to the X–XIII congresses of the Communist Party of Moldova; at the X and XI congresses, she was elected a member of the Central Committee of the PCM. She was elected a member of the Briceni district committee of the Communist Party of Moldova, a member of the bureau of the party organization of the "1 May" collective farm in Briceni district, a deputy in local councils of people's deputies, and a member of the governing council of the Moldavian Society for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries. She was also a delegate to the 3rd All-Union Congress of Collective Farmers and the 3rd Congress of Collective Farmers of the Moldavian SSR. She was awarded the Orders of Lenin (07.03.1960), October Revolution (08.04.1971), "Badge of Honor" (31.12.1965), and medals, including VDNKh medals of the USSR.
