About

Ana Cebotari, a remarkable Bessarabian soprano, was born on October 9, 1986, in the Republic of Moldova, in a rural area where traditions and nature shaped her childhood. Her musical talent manifested early, singing from the age of one year and eight months, and at 13 she received a scholarship from the Romanian state, moving to Bucharest to study at the "Dinu Lipatti" Music High School and then at the National University of Music, in the classical singing department. After successfully graduating, she debuted on important stages, performing roles in operas such as Rigoletto at the Bucharest National Opera, Falstaff directed by Graham Vick, The Marriage of Figaro, and Next to Normal at the Ion Dacia National Operetta and Musical Theatre. Her career is marked by prestigious collaborations with elite institutions in Romania, including the Bucharest National Opera, the "George Enescu" Philharmonic Orchestra, the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Orchestra, the Lie Ciocârlie ensemble, and the Mundi Colour group conducted by Daniel Jinga. She won First Prize at the National Festival of Romances "Silver Chrysanthemum" in Chisinau and gave memorable concerts, such as the one on the Day of Bessarabia's Union with Romania alongside the Bucharest National Opera Orchestra in Chisinau, reinterpreting Moldovan folklore in innovative symphonic arrangements. Her recitals, from classical operas to chamber music and carols transformed into pure emotion, have captivated Romanian and Moldovan audiences. Ana Cebotari's personal life reflects a balance between art and family, being a devoted mother who courageously returned to the stage after maternity, promoting authenticity and artistic discipline. Coming from a simple peasant family, where farm work and animal care were life lessons, she maintains close ties with her Moldovan roots, visiting the village of Tabăra in Orhei. As an independent artist, she combines technical perfection with sincere emotion, inspiring through her story of divine perseverance and harmonious adaptation in Romania.
