About
She went to Kyiv with the band 'Zdob și Zdub' to proudly represent our country, which made the whole of Europe know Moldova from its most beautiful angle, namely the cultural one; for although from an economic point of view we are one of the poorest countries on the old continent, our folkloric treasure is inexhaustible. The story of the famous collaboration is relatively simple: the 'Zdubs' heard news that somewhere in the south of Moldova there is a family that sacredly preserves the traditions of this nation. The boys were deeply impressed by the grandmother who beat the drum even better than Ovidiu Lipan Țăndărică. They thought then that it would be a great pity to miss the chance to do something wonderful together with this lovely family. That's how the song 'Boonika bate toba' came to be, bringing us to the top of the preferences in the ranking of the most important European music contest.
