About

Lana Alman is a professional originally from Tiraspol, Moldova, who emigrated to the United States in 1990 at the age of eight, with the help of humanitarian organizations. Her personal experience as a refugee has profoundly shaped her career path, dedicated to the integration and support of vulnerable communities. After graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in International Relations and Spanish, followed by a Master's degree in Latin American Studies from Vanderbilt University, Lana has built a remarkable career based on her expertise in migration and health issues. For ten years, Lana worked as a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she focused on issues related to borders, immigration, and health, with a particular emphasis on Hispanic communities. In parallel, she served as a Fulbright Fellow in Santiago, Chile, where she dedicated herself to building the capacity and labor mobility of Peruvian migrant women. Her international experience and multilingual proficiency (English, Spanish, and Russian) have positioned her as a key player in intercultural dialogues and immigrant support programs. Currently, Lana holds the position of Content Director at SameSky Health, where she is dedicated to designing content that engages multicultural populations to improve health outcomes and promote health equity. She is actively involved in several humanitarian and community organizations, including the HIAS Board of Directors, JDC Entwine's RSJ Advisory Board, and the LAZOS community, demonstrating a consistent commitment to the needs of refugees and immigrants worldwide.
