Dr. Anna Beyer is an internationally renowned cardiologist, specializing in general and interventional cardiology, who has built a remarkable career in the United States of America. After graduating from high school in San Francisco and obtaining her bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, she pursued her medical studies at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. Dr. Beyer completed her training with an internal medicine residency and a cardiology fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center, followed by additional fellowships in heart failure and interventional cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco. She holds certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Between 2003 and 2019, Dr. Beyer honed her expertise at California Pacific Medical Center, where she served for seven years as both an interventional and general cardiologist. Since 2019, she has been an Associate Professor in the Division of Cardiology at UCSF, practicing medicine at UCSF Golden Gate Practice in San Francisco. Dr. Beyer has dedicated her career to her patients, combining daily clinical practice with a passion for interventional cardiology, where she values the technical challenges and the immediate satisfaction of helping patients. Her research focuses on developing a precision medicine approach to complex coronary interventions, aiming to establish the optimal level of support for each patient. Dr. Beyer is also recognized for her dedication to medical education, having been honored as Teacher of the Year at CPMC in 2016 and 2021. She is fluent in Russian and English, likely making her the only Russian-speaking cardiologist in San Francisco. Dr. Beyer is married to Ilya Beyer, a principal engineer at Google.
