Diana Stratan is a remarkable specialist from the Republic of Moldova, active in the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I), with an international career of over 12 years in the nonprofit and corporate sectors. A graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economic Sciences with a specialization in Accounting (2006-2009), she complemented her studies with a Master's degree in Contemporary European Studies at the University of Bath (2010-2012) and another Master's degree in European Studies with a focus on Gender Equality at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2011-2012). This solid training has allowed her to establish herself in Belgium, where she is active in the Brussels area, promoting essential social values such as female leadership and inclusion in key industries. Currently, she holds the position of Senior Specialist DE&I at Toyota Motor Europe, since July 2022, contributing to diversity policies within the Human Resources department of a global automotive company with thousands of employees. Previously, she made her mark on the European film industry through key roles at UNIC - International Union of Cinemas, where she was Project Manager (2017-2022), Program Coordinator for the UNIC Women’s Cinema Leadership Programme – a pan-European mentoring program launched in 2017, dedicated to women in the cinema exhibition industry – and Events and Marketing Officer (2016-2017). She founded EMPASI, a nonprofit organization (2014-2019), and gained experience as an intern at organizations such as Close the Gap and Protection International, focusing on fundraising, project management, and human rights. Fluent in Romanian, English, Russian, and Spanish, with knowledge of French, Diana Stratan is a role model for Moldovan women in the diaspora, promoting gender equity and inclusion in multicultural European contexts.
