Virineia Pîrnău, a soprano originally from Orhei, Republic of Moldova, was born in 1996 and discovered her passion for music at the age of 8, debuting at the local music school with specializations in singing and choral conducting. She continued her studies at the "Ștefan Neaga" College of Music in Chișinău, under the guidance of Professor Vladimir Vichilu, where she won important awards, such as First Prize at the Classical Music Festival "Music – identity among young people" in Chernivtsi (2014), Second Prize at the National Singing Competition "Achim Stoia" in Iași (2015), and First Prize at "Victoria 70" in Chișinău. Since 2016, she transferred to the National University of Music in Bucharest, graduating in 2020 and continuing with a master's degree under soprano Iulia Isaev, consolidating her career in opera through recitals and memorable roles. Her recent achievements include winning the Opera Gala Competition at the Sibiu Opera Festival 2021, where she impressed the jury and the audience, subsequently being invited to the Christmas Concert of the Sibiu State Philharmonic, under the baton of Vlad Conta. She participated in the Independent Opera Festival in Iași (2017), performing a role in Gaetano Donizetti's opera "L'elisir d'amore," and in international projects such as the IconArts Academy, the "Georges Enesco" Singing Competition in Paris, and masterclasses with personalities like Eleonora Pacetti or Larisa Ghergieva. Her concerts have taken place in prestigious halls such as the Romanian Athenaeum, Suțu Palace in Bucharest, and stages in Sofia, collaborating with the Sibiu State Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sonus Animae ensemble, and organist Toma Verly in immersive performances like "The Great Gatsby." Virineia Pîrnău is active on stages in Romania and abroad, being a soprano in the Radio Romania Opera Choir and a soloist with the Abaris baroque ensemble, promoting minimalist sacred music and Russian romances in recitals alongside pianist Ioana Demetra Gîrleanu. Although detailed information about her personal life is not public, her passion for opera intertwines with her love for mountains, reflected in her online presence as a "mountain lover". As a Moldovan artist based in Romania, she represents an example of female excellence in the lyrical world, contributing to the promotion of the Moldovan voice internationally.
