Dr. Ana Cristea, a remarkable Moldovan pianist, has distinguished herself through exceptional performances in prestigious concert halls in Hungary, Spain, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and the United States. She has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the National Philharmonic, the Chamber Orchestra, and the Radio-Television Orchestra of Moldova, the West Chester Symphony Orchestra, the Rowan University Symphony Orchestra, and the Frost Symphony Orchestra. A winner of over 25 major national and international competitions in the USA and Europe, she performed Sergei Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Frost Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro James Judd. Her impressive academic background includes a Bachelor of Music (2010) and a Master of Music (2012) in piano performance from Rowan University, obtained with a full scholarship under the guidance of Professor Veda Zuponcic. Subsequently, she received a teaching assistantship and a full scholarship at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, where she earned her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in piano performance and pedagogy in 2016, studying with Professors Santiago Rodriguez and Naoko Takao. Her teaching career in music education continues as a part-time lecturer in the Musicology Department at the Frost School of Music and as a piano instructor within the Frost Advanced Preparatory Piano Program. Based in Miami, Florida, Ana Cristea shares her family life with her husband, Dr. Oleksii Ivanchenko, and their son Emil. Her contributions to music education emphasize the importance of elite artistic training, inspiring generations of young musicians through her pedagogical excellence and artistic performances, thereby promoting Moldovan cultural values internationally.
