Augustina Reniță-Mirjol was born in 1980 in Moldova, in Sărătenii Vechi, and has carved a distinct path in the world of art and culture. After graduating with a law degree from Sorbonne University in Paris and a period at Oxford University, she discovered that her true passion lay not in the legal field, but in art and art writing. For two decades, the artist has been based in France, where she has dedicated her career to developing an interdisciplinary artistic practice that combines painting with essay writing and art criticism. Her work titled "Picătura de artă" (The Drop of Art) marked a significant launch in her role as a cultural communicator, with the volume being presented with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in France. Through this book and her participation in prestigious international exhibitions, including events organized under official French patronage at the Grand Palais, Augustina Reniță-Mirjol has consolidated her status as an important figure in intercultural dialogue and in the promotion of contemporary art. Her writings are notable for their critical and reflective approach to artistic phenomena, thus being recognized as an important voice in the Franco-Moldovan cultural environment.
