Olga Panța was a link leader in the "Road to Communism" collective farm in the Rîbnița district, Moldavian SSR. She was born on February 15, 1929, in the village of Popenki, Rîbnița district. She led a youth and Komsomol link consisting of 23 collective farmers within the "Road to Communism" collective farm (Popenki village), specializing in sugar beet cultivation. For several years, her link consistently achieved high root crop yields – no less than 350 centners per hectare, and in the best years, up to 400 centners. The collective participated several times in the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy (VDNKh) of the USSR. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of December 31, 1965, for successes achieved in increasing yields, increasing production, and purchasing sugar beet, Olga Panța was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor, and was presented with the Order of Lenin and the gold medal "Hammer and Sickle." From 1967, she worked as a link leader in the horticultural brigade of the "Young Guard" collective farm (Butuceni village), Rîbnița district. She was elected deputy to the Rîbnița District Soviet and the Butuceni Village Soviet. She was a delegate to the III Congress of Collective Farmers of the Entire Union (1969). From 1978 she was a pensioner with personal status of union importance. She lived in the Rîbnița district. She passed away on December 13, 1997.
