He graduated from the Faculty of Law of ULIM in Chisinau and completed postgraduate studies at the State Law Academy of Moscow, specializing in private international law. He published his first novel in 2007 and began translating science fiction from English in 2013. After 18 years of teaching at university, he finally chose literature as his main pursuit and turned his hobby into a full-time job. Author of the marine fantasy trilogy Children of the Great Storm, the novel The First Seal, short stories and novellas, and the non-fiction work Romanian Myths. He has translated over 40 books from English, including intellectual SF novels by Ian MacDonald (The Luna Trilogy), fantasy in the style of One Thousand and One Nights by Catherine Valente (The Orphan's Tales), heroic fantasy by Richard Morgan (A Land Fit for Heroes), and non-fiction works by Ian Reid, Arthur Phillips, and Richard Powers. He has also translated two dark fantasy novels from Romanian (the Miasma series by Flavius Ardelian).
