Cristina Chiperi, originally from the Republic of Moldova, was born in 1998 and moved to Italy at the age of two with her family, settling in Padova. She started writing at just 14 years old, inspired by Selena Gomez's song "Dilemma," and published her first story on the online platform Wattpad. Success came quickly: the trilogy "My Dilemma Is You," initially posted anonymously, became an international bestseller, with over 150,000 copies sold in Italy, Germany, France, Spain, and Romania, attracting millions of teenage readers with themes such as love, friendship, and growing up. With nine novels published by the age of 21, including "Starlight," "Moonlight," and the most recent "Amiche, lacrime & popcorn al caramello" by Mondadori, Cristina has sold hundreds of thousands of copies and held promotional tours in Italian bookstores. Her books, translated into several languages including Romanian, Spanish, French, German, and Moldovan, explore love stories inspired by films, TV series, and personal experiences, promoting values such as true friendship and emotional resilience. She has collaborated with major publishers like Pocket Jeunesse and Litera, transforming writing from a hobby into a successful career. She lives in Padua with her parents, who initially did not support her literary passion, her mother insisting on studies. She graduated from the Faculty of Communication Sciences in Bologna and plans to pursue a master's degree in screenwriting in Milan, dreaming of continuing to write and visiting the United States, the country that inspires many of her novels. Single and realistic in love, she maintains her connection to her Moldovan roots through holidays with her grandparents, maintaining a balanced life between writing, studies, and financial independence.
