Daniela Tocari was born on November 3, 1990, in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, and grew up in Romania, where she discovered her passion for the arts at an early age. She began studying piano and ballet at the age of six, continuing for twelve years until graduating from the "Octav Băncilă" Music High School in Iași in 2006. At 15, she participated in professional ballroom dancing competitions, achieving second place in Standard and Latin at the Dancemasters International Competition in Bucharest in 2009. Her acting debut took place at the age of 21 in the play "The Trojan Women" at the National Theatre in Iași, directed by Andrei Șerban, where she received enthusiastic acclaim, marking the start of a prolific career in theater and film. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Acting from the "George Enescu" University of Arts in Iași and a Master's degree from the "I.L. Caragiale" National University of Theatre and Film Arts (UNATC) in Bucharest in 2015. She has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as the "Vasile Alecsandri" National Theatre in Iași, where she performed roles in plays directed by Silviu Purcărete and Mihai Măniuțiu, and theatres in Bucharest, including Odeon, Excelsior, and Nottara. Notable productions include the musicals "West Side Story," "Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour" with direction and choreography by Răzvan Mazilu, "Familie de artiști" (Family of Artists), and classic plays such as Chekhov's "The Seagull" and Molière's "Tartuffe." She also appeared in series like "Umbre" (Shadows) and in the film "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga" (2020), alongside Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, expanding her international presence. Besides theater, Daniela Tocari explored music and poetry recitals, participating in micro-tours in the USA and Canada with the Emil Bîzgă Quartet, where she recited verses by Nichita Stănescu, Mihai Eminescu, and other poets. She speaks Romanian, Italian, English, and Russian fluently, and her experience also includes radio achievements at Hit FM Iași, as well as jazz performances in New York and Montreal. With a height of 169 cm and multidisciplinary training, she represents an example of a Moldovan artist adapted to Romanian and international stages, combining the grace of ballet with the power of acting interpretation.
