Dina Melwani, originally from Cahul, Republic of Moldova, is the founder and creative director of the fashion house Melwani Couture, launched in 2015 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Passionate about art from a young age, she won national and international painting awards, attending art school for children, and later studied business administration at Middlesex University Dubai, obtaining a First-Class Honours degree, and fashion design courses at Esmod Dubai and London College of Fashion. Her creations, characterized by elaborate handmade embroidery, perfect corsetry, and premium fabrics from Italy, France, or Spain, accentuate feminine forms, offering timeless elegance and confidence to the wearer, and are appreciated by international clients, including the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson. Melwani Couture fashion house has quickly established itself in the Dubai market with its couture, prêt-à-porter, and evening gown collections, available on global platforms like Farfetch, emphasizing uniqueness and impeccable quality. Dina oversees the creative direction, crafting motifs inspired by diverse cultures such as Imperial Russian, Indian, and Middle Eastern, and collaborates with experienced European artisans. She recently launched a collection with Indian motifs, reflecting influences from her marriage to an Indian man. She is a member of the Fashion Design Advisory Board at Middlesex University Dubai and has showcased collections at fashion festivals in Dubai, being the only Moldovan designer with such a strong presence in the Emirates. Married for over 15 years to an Indian man, Dina is a mother to two daughters, aged 10 and 11, whom she prioritizes, taking them to school daily and spending time with them between her intense schedule from 6 AM to 10 PM. Raised during the economic crisis in Moldova in the '90s, where she
