About

Teodosia Lloyd, born and raised in the Republic of Moldova, discovered her passion for fashion at the age of 6 when her grandmother gave her a sewing machine that sparked her creativity. Her talents were recognized as early as primary school, where her Cinderella-inspired dress was exhibited in the school museum. She studied fashion at Northumbria University in the UK, where she simultaneously worked in a luxury boutique in North London, becoming head buyer, merchandising manager, and director, experiences that laid the foundation for launching her own brand, Teodosia Lloyd (or Teo Lloyd). In 2015, Teodosia opened the luxury boutique Dolly Lloyd on Fulham Road in Chelsea, London, where she launched her eponymous collection, alongside exclusive brands such as Love & Fashion Paris and Monica Ricci, being the sole UK stockist for them. The boutique, founded with her husband, David Lloyd – the founder of the David Lloyd Leisure chain and a former professional tennis player, rapidly expanded with an e-commerce website, offering ready-to-wear clothing for ambitious women, inspired by modern architecture with structured, elegant silhouettes and contemporary twists. Her collections promise superior quality, impeccable finishes, and exceptional value, attracting celebrities such as Georgia Toffolo and Kristina Rihanoff to events like the brand's anniversary party. Married to David Lloyd since 2015, Teodosia lives in England and has two children with him. Of Romanian nationality, she combines her Moldovan roots with a successful career in the British fashion industry, promoting the philosophy that "fashion has no limits – if there is no path, you must create it." Her contributions highlight the role of Moldovan women in promoting international design, inspiring through perseverance and innovative vision in the world of luxury fashion.
