Olga Iancu was a central figure in Maria Bieșu's artistic life, their relationship far exceeding the professional sphere of a mere accompanist. From their conservatory years, under the guidance of Professor Boris Miliutin, Olga Iancu was the unconditional mentor and support of the famous soprano, decisively contributing to the formation of her international career. Maria Bieșu herself gratefully acknowledged Olga Iancu's essential role in her artistic development, stating that her worldwide success is inextricably linked to the work of this remarkable pianist. Their collaboration was marked by defining moments for the opera scene: Preparation of prestigious repertoire: Olga Iancu assisted Maria Bieșu in studying complex roles and programs, including for her debut in "Tosca." International performances: She played a vital role in preparing concerts for world tours, such as Maria Bieșu's participation in "Golden Voices" in West Berlin – being the first soloist from the USSR invited there – or preparing the role of Cio-Cio-San for the competition in Tokyo. Large-scale performances: Iancu facilitated the approach to repertoire in foreign languages, working with the soprano on the role of Nedda (in Italian) for the prestigious Metropolitan Opera stage and providing artistic consultation for the preparation periods at La Scala. Beyond her collaboration with Maria Bieșu, Olga Iancu left her mark on the cultural life of the Republic of Moldova through her prodigious activity within the Theatrical Union.
