Olga Chilat is an economist and public policy analyst from the Republic of Moldova, with over ten years of experience in prestigious European institutions. Since February 2025, she has held the position of Economic and Policy Analyst at the European Commission, where she monitors and analyzes the implementation of structural reforms in Greece, with a focus on digital transition and the business environment within the framework of the recovery and resilience plan. Previously, she worked for five years as an economist at the European Commission, participating in economic analyses, the design and implementation of reforms. Her experience also includes activities in areas such as public finance management, financial market reforms, and European economic integration. Olga Chilat's academic background reflects her commitment to high-level European and economic studies. She holds a Master's degree in European Economic Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, specializing in European Economic Integration and Business, and obtained Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Strasbourg, where she studied Business/Managerial Economics and Administration Économique et Sociale. This solid training has supported her professional development, from traineeships as a Bluebook Trainee at the Executive Agency for SMEs and positions in international organizations, to her current roles in Brussels. Alongside her international career, Olga Chilat is known for her passion for Romanian folklore and mythology, which she promotes through the artistic project @olgutsagugutsa, an initiative for documenting and digitally illustrating Romanian traditions and symbols. She has been living in Belgium since 2020, and her professional activity at European institutions is combined with her dedication to preserving and popularizing Moldovan and Romanian cultural heritage, demonstrating how technical expertise and cultural sensitivity can coexist in the profession of a modern woman in the diaspora.
