Elena Cassian is a Moldovan-born mezzo-soprano who has established herself as one of the most resonant voices on international opera stages. After graduating from the "Gh. Dima" National Conservatory in Cluj-Napoca and refining her skills under the guidance of Niculina Mirea-Curta, she made her debut on the stage of the Cluj Opera in roles from *Carmen* and *The Marriage of Figaro*, subsequently continuing with a prestigious career that spanned some of the world's most important theatres, including La Scala in Milan, Covent Garden in London, the Paris-Bastille Opera, and Deutsche Oper Berlin. Elena Cassian's international career was consolidated through memorable performances in major roles of the mezzo-soprano repertoire, among which *Suzuki* in Puccini's *Madama Butterfly* became one of her signature roles, which she performed on several occasions under world-renowned conductors such as Riccardo Muti and Moshe Leiser. Her artistic repertoire included important roles in operas such as *Rigoletto*, *Norma*, *La Gioconda*, *Adriana Lecouvreur*, and *Anna Bolena*, collaborating with world-class conductors like Giuseppe Sinopoli, Mstislav Rostropovich, and Lorin Maazel, which confirmed her position as a first-rate soloist on the European and global opera stage.
