Silvia Grigorieva, known in her musical career by her stage name Silvia Grigore, is a folk and light music performer from the Republic of Moldova, active for over four decades on the artistic stage. Born on August 12, 1965, in the village of Jora de Jos, Orhei district, she debuted in 1984 at the National Philharmonic, as a lead vocalist in the chamber music orchestra "Rapsodia," and subsequently collaborated with the Poetic Theater, the "Ion Creangă" Folk Theater, and the "Ginta Latină" Musical Theater for Youth, where she performed roles as an actress, soloist, and dancer. Among her notable achievements are the production of the concert series "The Season of Love," the organization of the folk music festival "The Spring That Was," and the release of albums such as "Postscriptum," "What's the Use," and "I Found the Key to a Song," having been a laureate at festivals in Moldova, Russia, and Romania. The emblematic song "The Dove of Peace," performed since the '80s, became a hit, promoting messages of peace through touching lyrics about mothers' waiting for their sons on the front lines. She also worked as a radio and TV presenter, host of the show "Fonograf" on Arena FM, and owns an individual enterprise in Chisinau, reflecting a diversified career that combines art with local activism. In her personal life, Silvia Grigorieva comes from a family of teachers from Jora de Jos, and her brother, Vsevolod Grigore, composed the music for "The Dove of Peace." The artist emphasizes the importance of inner balance and "ecological" music like folk, promoting values of peace of mind and a return to traditions, despite the challenges of artistic life in a rapidly changing society.
