Zoia Golofeeva was born in the Republic of Moldova and began her musical career in her native country, where she graduated from the State University of Arts in Chisinau. She obtained a Master's degree in Piano Accompaniment and Ensemble, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Opera Studies (Voice). Between 1996 and 2006, she worked as the principal accompanist for the opera staff, a chorus artist at the Opera, and a soloist at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Moldova, contributing to numerous high-caliber artistic productions. After emigrating to the United States, Zoia Golofeeva settled in Houston, Texas, where she teaches piano and voice at the prestigious International Music Academy of Houston, an institution dedicated to classical music lessons for all ages and levels. Her students have won multiple national and international awards, demonstrating her pedagogical excellence. She also works as a piano instructor and vocal coach at Suzuki Academy and Christian Academy, promoting innovative methods such as the Suzuki method, which emphasizes the early development of musical talent and productive practice. Zoia Golofeeva represents an example of professional dedication, building bridges between Moldovan musical tradition and American artistic education. Through her work, she has trained generations of young musicians, emphasizing the importance of character and excellence in music, within a vibrant international context in Houston, an area known for its multicultural communities and elite music schools.
