Elina Nastas Galletta was born and raised in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, where she began her musical studies at the age of three under the guidance of maestro Liudmila Boico. She then continued with Larisa Jar, head of the Piano Department at the Ciprian Porumbescu Republican Music High School in Chisinau, studying under her for 12 years. In the fourth grade, she received a presidential scholarship in recognition of her exceptional talent in the fine arts, and at the age of 16, she performed the first movement of Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Moldova Teleradio Orchestra, conducted by Gheorghe Mustea, at an event organized by the Polish Embassy. After moving to the United States, Galletta pursued master's studies at Rowan University, where she studied under the renowned professor Veda Zuponcic, head of the Piano Department. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance and continued her studies at the Master's level in Piano Performance, being awarded the prestigious Jacobs Music Award for Excellence in Music. At Rowan University, she also worked as a teacher in the Preparatory Program, and now serves as an accompanist and piano educator. Currently, Galletta practices the profession of a private piano teacher in the Mount Laurel Township area of New Jersey, being appreciated for her performance and musical collaboration skills. In addition to private lessons, she dedicates herself to collaborating with vocalists and chamber music ensembles, serving as a singer and music director at a church. Her dream is to promote classical music to the general public and to cultivate a love for art in the community, and she speaks about the importance of dedicated teachers in developing musical talents.
