About

Lucia Boaghe, originally from the Republic of Moldova, has made a name for herself as a visual artist in the United Kingdom, where she currently lives and works. A philology graduate with experience in interior design, she gave up these fields eight years ago to dedicate herself to fine arts, obtaining a Master of Fine Arts from the University of the Arts London. Her works, inspired by people, nature, philosophy, and psychology, explore deep themes such as identity, duality, and harmony with the environment, aiming to contribute to a better world through artistic creation. As director of the company Lucid Art Ltd, Lucia Boaghe organizes and participates in successful international exhibitions, including 'Through DNA' alongside Vitoria Rotaru at Curious Kudu in London (2022), 'Sisyphean' at The Fitzrovia Gallery, 'Cartography of Care' at Spilt Milk Gallery in Edinburgh, and other projects exhibited on platforms like ArtRabbit. Her works, such as the series 'Peace of Mind', 'Duality', or 'Doina', are available on Laura I Art Gallery, where she paints in oil and acrylic on canvas, capturing the essence of nature and human emotions in various formats, from 50x50 cm to larger pieces of 100x120 cm. Having come to the UK at the age of 45 and starting from scratch, Lucia Boaghe quickly built an impressive career as a painter and art teacher in London, participating in interviews and projects that highlight her courage and destiny. Although detailed information about her personal life remains limited in public sources, her path reflects a story of reinvention, marked by award-winning exhibitions and an active presence in the London art community, where she teaches and inspires through her personal blog at Chelsea College of Arts.
