Diana Volman is an internationally renowned pianist, born in the Republic of Moldova, who studied at the State Conservatory of Music of Moldova, where she obtained a master's degree in piano performance. During her formative years, she distinguished herself through her musical talent and dedication, winning the Tchurlioni International Competition for the sixth time and obtaining first prize at the Rachmaninoff All-State Competition. She graduated from the conservatory with the highest academic distinction, being invited to join the faculty immediately after completing her studies, which demonstrates the recognition she gained in the academic environment. During her time in Moldova, Diana Volman proved to be a remarkable performer of contemporary Moldovan and Ukrainian composers, being frequently requested to premiere their compositions and to edit the published music of these artists. She benefited from the tutelage of eminent pianists such as Vitaly Margulis, Dimitri Bashkirov, and Yevgeny Shenderovich, which contributed to the formation of a refined and nuanced performance style. After immigrating to the United States in 1990, Diana Volman became actively involved in the cultural life of the Russian community in Los Angeles, holding the position of Musical Director of the Arts Unity and Diversity Foundation. As a sought-after accompanist for prestigious collaborations, she performed acclaimed concerts in renowned concert halls such as the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and the Thousand Oaks Civic Auditorium. In addition, Diana Volman works as a respected piano teacher, whose students have been admitted to prestigious conservatories, and she is frequently invited to judge national competitions for young performers.
