About

Violetta Vieux is an internationally recognized Moldovan fashion designer, specializing in the creation of luxury wedding dresses and evening wear. Born in Chisinau, Violetta developed a passion for fashion design from childhood, when she knitted and crocheted custom orders. After working as an English teacher in Moldova, she decided to turn her hobby into a career and enrolled in design courses in Bucharest and Paris. Her formal education included studies in fashion illustration and sketching at the "Ioan Dalles" University in Chisinau, followed by professional training in cutting and sewing at ESMOD International in Paris, where she also obtained a master's degree in creative cutting. Violetta's professional career has reached its peak moments in both Europe and North America. In 2002, together with her twin sister Viorikka, who is passionate about fashion design, she created the VioGemini brand, a clothing line for sophisticated and elegant women. In Chisinau, she won first prize at the International Fashion Festival in 2003 and was invited to present her collection at Paris Fashion Week. After moving to the United States in 2008, following her French husband who received a promotion, Violetta continued her work as an independent designer and instructor of creative tailoring at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles between 2009 and 2013. In September 2013, she opened VioGemini Bridal Boutique in Fremont, California, where she offers custom-made wedding dresses and unique bridal accessories, along with alteration and redesign services for wedding dresses. Designer Violetta Vieux's style is characterized by unique combinations of organic and synthetic materials, such as feathers, furs, and wool paired with metallic elements, beads, and Swarovski crystals. Each creation is hand-sewn and can require up to 120 hours of work for a long dress. Her collections have been exhibited at prestigious fashion shows in San Francisco, including the Snow Fashion Show in 2011, and have been worn by personalities such as singer Fely Tchaco. VioGemini dresses are also available on the online market, with prices ranging from a few hundred to 3,000 euros for pieces crocheted with silk and embroidered with fur, sequins, and crystals.
