Vera Triboi, (07.08.1931 – 12.10.1982) was a team leader in the "Biruința" collective farm in the Strășeni district, Moldavian SSR. She was born on August 7, 1931, in the village of Cojușna, Strășeni district. From 1949, she worked as a simple collective farm worker in the "Biruința" collective farm in her native village, Cojușna. Between 1951 and 1970, she was the team leader of the No. 4 vineyard brigade. The brigade led by her never obtained a grape harvest smaller than 80 centners per hectare. In 1955, she became a member of the CPSU. During the period 1961–1965, the brigade obtained an average grape harvest of 96.4 centners per hectare over an area of 120 hectares, exceeding the plan by 16.4 centners per hectare. An even larger harvest – 122.7 centners per hectare – was obtained in 1965. The abundant harvests ensured the fulfillment of the plan for selling grapes to the state: during the same period (1961–1965), 5,600 tons of grapes were sold, compared to the plan of 4,900 tons. The brigade's monetary income increased by almost 1.5 times, reaching in 1965 the sum of 4,670 rubles per hectare of European grape varieties. By Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 30, 1966, for the successes achieved in increasing the production and harvesting of grapes, Vera Chirilovna Triboi was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor, with the presentation of the Order of Lenin and the gold medal "Hammer and Sickle". During the years of the eighth five-year plan (1966–1970), the brigade continued to achieve high yields. For example, in 1966, 122 centners per hectare were harvested, and in 1969 – 122.6 centners per hectare over an area of 118 hectares. The successes of her collective were repeatedly presented at the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy (VDNKh) of the USSR. She was a deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 7th convocation (1966–1970). She was elected deputy to the local Soviets of Workers' Deputies. She was also a delegate to the XXIII Congress of the CPSU (1966) and the XII Congress of the Communist Party of Moldova (1966). From 1970, she retired due to illness. In the period 1971–1978, she worked as a laborer at the "Biruința" state farm. From 1978, she was an agronomist at the Moldavian State Farm-Technical School of Viticulture in her native village, Cojușna. From 1981, she became a pensioner with personal union-level importance. She passed away on October 12, 1982. She was awarded the Order of Lenin (30.04.1966), medals, as well as 3 medals of the VDNKh of the USSR.
