Mountaineer. Conquered Mount Everest
About
Olga Țapordei is the first woman from the Republic of Moldova to reach the summit of Everest, the world's highest mountain, on May 23, 2021, at an altitude of 8,848 meters. This extraordinary achievement marked a historic moment for her country and inspired generations of adventurers. After her success on Everest, Țapordei continued to dedicate herself to mountaineering, conquering other important peaks in the following years and demonstrating that determination and courage know no bounds. Olga's passion for mountains began much earlier than her Everest expedition. She comes from the village of Fetița, Cimișlia, where she grew up in a modest family; her mother was a teacher and school principal. At 17, she moved to Chisinau to study at the Academy of Public Administration, initially dreaming of a career in public administration. However, her life path took a different direction, with Țapordei transforming worldly experiences into mountaineering adventures. Her preparation for Everest also included other important expeditions, such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in November 2020 and the Ojos del Salado volcano in Argentina in January 2021. Beyond her mountaineering achievements, Olga Țapordei also conquered the "7 Summits" challenge, becoming the first female mountaineer from the Republic of Moldova to successfully complete this extreme mountain ambition. She combines her mountaineering expertise with personal branding and entrepreneurship consulting, working as an expert in developing a strong personal brand and helping others build a successful professional identity. Her husband has been an essential support in all her adventures, ensuring the logistical and moral aspects of the expeditions.
