About

Lina Shevielova, a remarkable principal ballerina with the Imperial Russian Ballet, was born in Odesa, Ukraine, and began her artistic journey in the Republic of Moldova. She graduated with honors from the National College of Choreography in Chisinau in 2009, at which point she was immediately invited to the "Maria Bieșu" National Opera and Ballet Theatre, where she performed as a principal soloist for two years. Concurrently, she studied at the Academy of Music, Theatre, and Fine Arts in Chisinau, graduating in 2013 with a specialization in pedagogy and choreography. Her style, marked by a natural and subtle sense of dance, combines profound lyrical imagery with perfect harmony in every role, from "Swan Lake" to "Romeo and Juliet," her favorite ballet, in which she debuted in the principal role. After 2011, her solo career exploded within the Imperial Russian Ballet, where in 2012 she presented her first work as a leading ballerina, continuing to shine on international stages. She collaborated with prestigious theaters such as the Bolshoi in Russia and the World Ballet Company, touring 44 countries on six continents. Notable achievements include the "Silver Shoe" award (3rd place), 2nd place at the Youth Dance Festival in Romania, as well as the Award for Contribution to the Development of Culture and Art in Moldova. In 2014, she was the first performer of the lead role in the Russian eco-ballet "Flying over a Legend," and among the most demanding artistic experiences are the Corps de Ballet of the Shades in "La Bayadère." Today, Lina Shevielova works as a ballet repetiteur in the Moscow region, teaching in Dolgoprudny and adjacent areas, preparing children from 6 years old and adults for exams at choreography schools, competitions, and masterclasses for duets or pointe work. With a vast repertoire of classical ballet and extensive experience, she improves her students' choreographic foundation, posture, and flexibility, including students from cultural institutes or athletes. Her dream remains simple – a sunny house on a warm seaside shore – and her advice to her younger self is to be braver and celebrate every victory, big or small.
