About
Andreea Russo is a contemporary writer from the Republic of Moldova who debuted in the literary world at the age of twenty, in December 2015, with the volume "Memories from the Future," a utopia about destiny, past, and future published by Bestseller publishing house. Her debut was immediately noticed, with volume I of the trilogy being awarded at the International Book Fair for Children and Youth in Chisinau, at its XX edition. Russo became known for her original approach to existential and psychological themes, and her personal style was cultivated independently, without the influence of other writers. Her inclination towards literary creation developed naturally from her childhood passion for poetry, evolving into a desire to write ambitious prose. Throughout her career, the writer has published five volumes by 2023, including the trilogy "Memories of the Future" and books such as "The Girl with Black and White Dreams," "MoArt. The Art of Dying," "Minim," and "When the Cherries Were Ripe," the latter being a work based on a true story about deportations to Kazakhstan in the 1940s. She passionately works towards the dream of becoming a Nobel Prize laureate in Literature in the future, and her achievements demonstrate remarkable literary maturity. Russo is influenced by a wide range of cultural references, including the works of classic writers like Agatha Christie, Mircea Eliade, and Fyodor Dostoevsky. Passionate about numbers, psychology, and philosophy, Andreea Russo maintains a close connection with her readers through social media, where she communicates directly to gather opinions and expectations. Her debut book was written in record time, just a month and a half after starting, influenced by a personal life event. The writer studied film and literature in Bucharest, which enriched her artistic perspective, and her literary choices reflect a subtle thinker who plays with the reader's imagination through complex dialogues and ingeniously constructed narratives, her messages being accessible to everyone, regardless of age.
