Marina Radiș is a Moldovan soprano of Gagauz ethnicity, born on February 2, 1982, in the village of Cazaclia, Ceadîr-Lunga, Gagauzia. Her artistic career began early, at the age of 11, winning the Gagauz song contest in Ceadîr-Lunga, and at 18, obtaining the Grand Prize at the annual song contest "The Voice of Gagauzia". She became a repeated laureate of the patriotic song contest "Victoria" in Chișinău. Despite the absence of a secondary musical ensemble, in 2000 she was admitted to the academic vocal department of the Academy of Music, Theater, and Fine Arts in Chișinău, where she benefited from rigorous training under the guidance of professors Ivan Vassilievici Kvasniuk and Svetlana Popova, the latter having a special influence on the artist's development. After completing her studies in 2005, Marina Radiș debuted at the "Maria Bieșu" National Opera and Ballet Theatre, the state lyric theatre of the Republic of Moldova, where she holds the position of soloist. Throughout her career, she has successfully performed numerous leading roles in prestigious operas, including Violetta in Verdi's "Traviata," Mikaela in Bizet's "Carmen," Donna Anna in Mozart's "Don Giovanni," Tatiana in Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin," and Mimi in Puccini's "La bohème." In 2003, she received the laureate distinction at the Hariclea Darclee International Vocalists Competition in Brăila, being recognized on the international stage among the most talented performers. Marina Radiș's concert activity has extended beyond the borders of the Republic of Moldova, with collaborations and tours in several European and non-European countries. She has repeatedly participated in the Days of Moldovan Culture in Russia and has given concerts in Kazakhstan, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey, Cyprus, and Romania. Recognizing her mastery and dedication to art, in 2011 she was awarded the title of Master of Arts of the Republic of Moldova, an honor that reflects her significant contribution to the development and promotion of lyric art in her country.
