About
Anastasia is a self-taught photographer and documentary filmmaker based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Her journey into photography began as a deeply personal one, immediately after leaving her native Moldova at the age of eighteen. What started as a way to reconnect with her roots during visits home evolved into a distinctive documentary style that captures the subtle magic of everyday moments. Drawing from her own experience of migration and cultural duality, Anastasia's work explores themes of belonging, identity, and the relationship between people and their environment. Whether working on personal projects or commissioned documentaries, she enjoys highlighting the poetry of everyday life, finding and framing moments that transcend the ordinary.
