Catalina Paladi is a Moldovan fashion designer with a deep passion for culture and history, who built her career in Italy, specifically in Verona. A graduate of the Technical University of Moldova in 2017 with a degree in textile engineering and fashion design, she has developed a distinct approach that blends traditional techniques with a modern perception of fashion. From 2017 to the present, she has worked as an independent designer, creating collections that reflect her fascination with cultural diversity and her concern for sustainability in the fashion industry. Her most recognized creation is the Turquerie collection, which won the Silver Award at the A' Design Award in the Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design category (2020-2021). This collection places Ottoman Empire inspiration in a modern context, using sophisticated materials such as jacquard, velvet, and chiffon to create chromatic and textural contrasts. The collection comprises six silhouettes and combines the designer's Moldovan roots with her passion for multiculturalism, resulting in a rich variety of colors, patterns, and textures. Paladi actively promotes the use of natural and biodegradable materials, dedicating efforts to reducing textile waste and promoting environmentally conscious fashion. Catalina Paladi's artistic and professional activity has extended beyond design, participating in art exhibitions and international conferences. She exhibited at the Enesya Art Gallery in Milan in 2018 and has participated in numerous competitions and symposia dedicated to the intersection of fashion and technology. In addition to design, she creates custom stage wear for Russian classical musicians and collaborates with renowned brands. She is fluent in English, Romanian, Russian, and Italian, which facilitates her international collaborations and involvement in the global creative community.
