Alexandra Moisei is one of the most promising wrestlers in the Republic of Moldova, distinguishing herself through determination and impressive results on the international stage. Born and trained under the guidance of coaches Petru and Andrei Chiperi, Alexandra has shown consistent progress, becoming a benchmark name in women's wrestling, with notable success particularly in beach wrestling. Her moment of glory came in September 2025, in Katerini (Greece), where she won the world championship title in beach wrestling in the Under-17 age category and the 65 kg weight class. Her path to gold was flawless: she decisively dominated opponents from Bulgaria, the USA, and Azerbaijan, overcame the host nation's representative in the quarterfinals, and defeated athletes from Spain and France in the final stages. Her performance brought honor to the national team and was shortly followed by winning the silver medal at the U20 World Championships (70 kg), demonstrating a remarkable ability to adapt between age and weight categories. Beyond her success in beach wrestling, Alexandra Moisei is also actively involved in freestyle wrestling (women's wrestling), consistently participating in European and World Junior Championships. Her achievements also include a bronze medal won at the U17 European Championships in 2024, a result that confirmed her elite potential. The young athlete is defined by a combative spirit and disciplined technique, qualities that have rapidly propelled her to the top of sports performance in Moldova. Her commitment to this sport, coupled with the support of federations and authorities, places her on an upward trajectory, being considered a hope for future participations in major competitions, such as the Youth Olympic Games.
