Iana Barladean, known on social media as Yana (@yana.fitmodel), is a fitness model and athlete originally from the Republic of Moldova, who has built a remarkable career in the United States of America. Standing at 5'10", Yana was encouraged throughout her life to pursue modeling, but her passion for sports and fitness developed gradually, starting from a professional 11-year career in international quality ballroom dancing. This solid foundation in discipline and physical performance laid the groundwork for her transition into bodybuilding, where she participated in two bodybuilding competitions that solidified the determination and confidence she needed to launch herself into fitness modeling. When she moved to Miami four years ago, all the puzzle pieces fell into place perfectly for Yana, and opportunities began to manifest naturally. She participated in castings and worked with renowned photographers and directors in the industry, including in branded productions, where her conscious presence and natural ability to move in front of the camera were immediately noticed. Yana has developed a diverse career that includes editorial photoshoots, runway appearances, and collaborations with renowned brands in the fashion and swimwear industry, establishing herself as a respected figure in the Miami fitness and modeling scene. Yana's personal journey has been marked by remarkable perseverance and an ability to learn from challenges. After a difficult post-bodybuilding competition experience in 2021, when she faced disorientation and hormonal imbalance, she found balance by rewriting her relationship with training and nutrition, adopting a more intuitive, well-being-oriented approach. Yana is an example of personal and professional evolution, influenced by her family and the strong women she admires, such as Moldovan model Xenia Deli and businesswoman Jennifer Lopez.
