About

Anna Lesko, born on January 10, 1979, in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, is a singer who settled in Romania at the age of 17, impressed by the country during a tour with a ballet troupe. Her musical debut took place in 2000, alongside the band Direcția 5, and in 2002 she released the album "Flăcări" (Flames), with the hit "Ard în flăcări" (I Burn in Flames), composed by Marius Moga. Her career exploded with albums such as "Inseparabili" (Inseparables) (2003, gold record), "Pentru tine" (For You) (2004), "Ispita" (Temptation) (2005, gold record), and "Jocul seducției" (The Game of Seduction) (2010), including memorable hits like "Anicyka Maya" (2nd place in Romanian Top 100, MTV nomination), "Nu mai am timp" (I no longer have time), "24", and "1001 dorințe" (1001 wishes). Recent collaborations, such as "Ivanko" with Culiță Sterp (2020, over 24 million views) or "Leagănă barca" (Rock the Boat) with Pavel Stratan (2013), confirm her longevity in the Romanian music industry. She has collaborated with record labels such as Nova Music Entertainment and Cat Music (since 2007), producers like Laurențiu Duță, Gabriel Huiban, Marius Moga, and Marian Ionescu, as well as artists such as Animal X, Costi, and Anda Adam. She has held national tours, performed at galas like the MTV Romanian Music Awards, and released spectacular music videos filmed in exotic locations like Thailand. Her rich repertoire, with Slavic influences and dynamic rhythms, includes songs like "Ia-mă," "Get It," "Wake Up," and "Binele nostru," making it ideal for parties and events, where she transmits energy and good cheer. Besides music, Anna Lesko is passionate about painting, taking lessons from Sabin Bălașa and Mircea Novac, who appreciated her talent – her first painting was sold for $3000, and her works have been exhibited at the National Museum of Art. She comes from a cheerful family, with a musician engineer father and a mother who inherited a clothing cooperative, and in her childhood, she danced in folk and classical ensembles. She studied Law in Bucharest, learning Romanian for integration, and was involved in humanitarian campaigns such as "1001 România." Today, she remains active with recent singles like "Sărutul tău" (2024) and "Guleala" (2022), combining her artistic career with creative passions.
