Ecaterina Harling, originally from the Republic of Moldova, is a remarkable professional in the field of digital transformation and IT innovation, recognized in the UK as one of the most influential IT leaders in 2024, having been included in the Computing’s IT Leaders 100 list. With over two decades of experience in consulting, public services, and international organizations, she currently holds the position of Director, Head of Design and Transformation at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London, where she leads major transformation programs, including an IT investment plan of over £200 million. Her career includes key roles such as Associate Director for IT Innovation at EBRD, Client Director at MooD International, consultant at Accenture, and an internship at the United Nations, where she contributed to projects on poverty reduction and gender equality. She has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as EBRD, Accenture, MooD International, Co-operative Community Action Ltd, and the UN, developing innovation teams, automation practices (RPA, AI, ML), and targeted operational models, with a focus on digitalization that transforms societies and improves people's lives. Ecaterina holds a BA in Modern Languages and International Relations from the University of Nottingham, an MBA in Strategy from the University of Strathclyde, and certifications such as PROSCI, PRINCE2 Agile, and Certified Scrum Professional. As a keynote speaker and executive coach at The Boardroom, she promotes inclusive leadership and diversity in tech, and is a board member of the Strategic Infrastructure Foundation. On a personal level, Ecaterina Harling is fluent in Romanian, Russian, French, and English, a talent also reflected in her ability to write poems in four languages, two of which have been turned into songs. A devoted mother of two children, she reserves two mornings a week for special time with them, cooking pancakes and experimenting with creative ways to flip them. Her international career culminated in the honor of being invited by the Queen of Great Britain to Buckingham Palace, representing her company, and her determination in promoting women in tech makes her a role model for future generations in Moldova and beyond.
