Natalia Budu, born on April 7, 1985, is a Moldovan freestyle wrestler who has honorably represented the Republic of Moldova on the international stage. With a career that began in 2002, she specialized in the 51-53 kg category, becoming one of her country's most consistent female wrestling athletes. Her talent and dedication were demonstrated through her participation in numerous prestigious competitions, including the World and European Championships, where she achieved remarkable results. Throughout her career, Natalia Budu accumulated an impressive series of medals and distinguished placements. She participated in the Baku Olympics, securing two victories in the first edition of the competition, and qualified for the bronze medal match at the European Championship in Riga, Latvia. At the 2014 World Championship in Uzbekistan, she achieved a top 5 finish, defeating opponents from countries with strong sports traditions. Her results include victories at international tournaments such as the German Grand Prix and the Ivan Yarygin Memorial in Russia, where she took second place in the final. Natalia Budu studied physical education and sport and represented the Victoria club from Chișinău, under the guidance of coach Petru Marta since 2005. Her activity in the Border Guard Service and constant involvement in the international wrestling circuit made her an ambassador of Moldovan sports.
