About

Ana Palanciuc Hamilton comes from a family deeply rooted in music, having been raised in the Republic of Moldova in an exceptional artistic environment. Her father was a conductor and professor of choral conducting at the Moldovan State Conservatory, and her mother, a classical pianist, studied under the guidance of the famous Olga Zhukova at the Moscow Conservatory. This musical heritage led Ana to begin singing at a young age and to successfully participate in local, national, and international competitions, gaining recognition at the Vladimir Horowitz International Competition in Kyiv and the E. Coca Competition in Chișinău. Ana's artistic training took place in several stages and under the guidance of renowned professors. After her studies in Cluj-Napoca with Nina Panieva, Daniel Goiți, and Zsofi Kovács, where she won second place at the national music olympiad, Ana moved to the United States and studied at Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana, under the tutelage of world-renowned pianist Mark Zeltser. Subsequently, she continued her training at Northwestern State University under the direction of Dr. Nikita Fitenko, and later graduated with honors with a Master's degree in piano performance from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, under the guidance of Dr. Joseph Di Piazza. Her career includes concerts with the National Philharmonic of the Republic of Moldova and numerous recitals in the United States and Europe. Alongside her career as a concert pianist and collaborative pianist, Ana Palanciuc Hamilton has also dedicated herself to significant charitable work, which brought her and her husband to Yunnan province in China, where they worked with disadvantaged children. After returning to America, she continued her involvement in disadvantaged communities by teaching in schools in vulnerable urban areas. She currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina, and teaches at Charleston Southern University and the College of Charleston, being recognized for her virtuosity, moving lyricism, and remarkable collaboration with vocalists and instrumentalists.
