Irina Funtikova is a Moldovan athlete who moved to Canada and became a rhythmic gymnastics champion. She was the national junior champion in 1999 and placed second at the senior level in Canada. She represented the country in prestigious international competitions, being a member of the Canadian senior group that won silver at the 2003 Pan American Games, bronze in Kalamata, Greece, in 2003, and placed 12th at the 2002 (New Orleans) and 2003 (Budapest) World Championships. Her athletic career was marked by dedication and high-level performance, competing with a national rhythmic gymnastics group under the guidance of the Kalev Estienne academy in Canada. Her gymnasts gained international recognition, and she participated in major competitions that solidified Canadian gymnastics' reputation on the world stage.
